It is only a short and beautiful walk from the Koopgoot or the Markthal, the most water-rich part of the city full of high-rise towers. Maritime District is the city district sandwiched between Oostplein and Leuvehaven and between Boompjes and Blaak. Despite the bombing, you can still experience the long Rotterdam (maritime) history here, including the Leuvehaven and its historic ships and the Oude Haven with the Witte Huis. Historic ships, special high-rise towers and interesting museums such as the Maritime Museum and the Marine Museum are all located in this area. The many restaurants with attractive terraces on the water make the area a "must see". Experience it too!
